The New Elevator Tower

We are so pleased and proud of all of our supporters who made our dream of a separate, newly built elevator/fire stairs tower possible. The elevator makes our museum accessible to everyone and the new fire stairs bring us in compliance with the fire code. On June 3rd, our seasonal opening day, we formally “cut-the-ribbon” for the tower and elevator. Richard Nye, our most generous donor, honored us by wielding the scissors!

Please click here to take a look at the history of the tower construction – construction made possible by your support!

When you visit the museum, please walk the “memorial” brick walk that connects the parking area with the new tower and look for names you know or engraved bricks that you have donated. Should you wish to have an engraved brick in the walk to memorialize your family, friend or group, please email the museum at glbrehm@tds.net or call the museum at 802-228-5050.

Again, we want to convey our deepest appreciation for our supporters who made this endeavor successful.

Thank you,
